HPM Building Supply in Keaau, Hawaii is looking to hire a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to work behind the scenes, helping ensure our employees/owners have a top-of-class experience. The Human Resources Assistant completes various administrative HR tasks including working with employee files and HR systems. The HR Assistant will also support the recruitment/talent acquisition team and support the onboarding of new employees. We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant with excellent customer service skills who align with our core values of Heart, Character, and Growth!

The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday!


  • Two (2) years of related work experience - administrative (supporting Human Resources or Recruiting/Talent Acquisition is a plus but not required) or equivalent
  • Intermediate computer skills, including the ability to effectively use email, the internet, and Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong administrative and customer service skills since you will work with a diverse and multi-site employee population and internal teams
  • Ability to maintain confidential information, act with discretion, and positively represent HPM to our employees/owners and vendors
  • Associate degree in HR field preferred but not required
